NASA DEVELOP presented Pizza My Mind on October 31st. Many people probably think NASA only works on projects involving space. Presenter, Sydney Neugebauer was very excited to share that NASA does many other cool things like earth science. This is where NASA DEVELOP comes in. DEVELOP is a national program that specializes in projects involving water resources, forestation, urban development, agriculture, and energy just to name a few topics.
Good news, NASA DEVELOP is looking to hire summer interns! They are looking for candidates with good collaborative skills, a 3.0 or higher gpa, any major, and a passion for earth science. If this sounds like you, they have an easy two step process to apply. This process involves submitting essay questions, a resume, transcript, and two letters of recommendation. More good news: there is plenty of time to start this process as the internships for summer are open for application from January 20, 2020 to February 28, 2020. There are also opportunities to work in the fall if summer doesn’t work for you.
More reasons to apply to NASA include many benefits like touring the awesome Langley center, technical skills and experience, a good work environment, personal development, and the personal connections that can be formed throughout the summer. Another really cool feature of this internship is the payoff of presenting your work at NASA headquarters at the end of the 10 weeks.
Thank you to Sydney Naugebauer from NASA DEVELOP for presenting at Pizza My Mind.
